Art Week

It was art week at the kids school this week and they've had loads of fun with it. There is going to be an exhibition next Friday. The kids have told me they are doing more art with me this weekend. Good job I don't have anything else we need to do or go to.

TJ had to be home-schooled two days so she did art with me, a different kind than she was doing in school as I didn't have access to the materials and her project there. Her class are looking at the Galápagos Islands as their project topic for the term and this week they made animal costumes inspired by the island's wildlife. They will be doing a fashion show during the art exhibition. TJ and I watched a short u-tube video about the islands together and then decided to do a painting of seals.

Drawing Class

I demoed how to draw the seals in my art journal, I did not touch her drawing at all.
She also learnt about the differences between H and B pencils.

Watercolour Class

I explained how the paints work and she got the idea quiet quickly, again all her own work.
