In the way home from school yesterday I smiled hearing little Tisha chanting something we used to chant when I was at school
"1, 2, miss a few, 99, 100."
Mr Aspergers didn't like that though, and Roo announced rather forcefully.
"It's not at few! It should be 1, 2 miss a lot, 99, 100."
Monday was the last day for workmen in the house and the loft is fully converted. Today the children have been having great fun up there making echoes and playing in the eves going between one room and the other through the eve storage doors. It reminds me of C S Lewis's "The Magician's Nephew". Daniel's given them a job to do which they are enjoying. They are collecting together pieces of rubbish and bits and bobs off the floor boards that was left behind during construction. Any excuse to get through those doors is gladly accepted. Soon those will be full of storage boxes etc.
